2025 Recap: 2 Bears 5K Takes Over Tampa
Tampa Turnout
Over 8,000 fans, celebs, and everyday legends showed up for the 2nd Annual 2 Bears 5K on May 4th, 2025, at Raymond James Stadium. From the starting gun to the Por Osos-fueled after-party, it was a chaotic, beautiful mess—just how Bert and Tom like it.
Jelly Joins the Party
Jelly Roll returned for his second 5K, this time launching his Losers Run Club to bring new runners into the fold. His candid video about struggling to walk to his mailbox and now running a 5K had everyone fired up.
From Ball-Busting to Life-Changing
In a post-race interview, Bert and Tom reflected on how the 2 Bears 5K started as a bit—a “fat shaming” joke on Joe Rogan’s podcast—and turned into something bigger than either of them expected. What began as friendly trash talk became a full-on movement of people embracing community, fitness, and personal change.
The duo gave major credit to Jelly Roll for inspiring participants with his transformation, and highlighted stories from people who’d lost over 100 lbs just getting ready for the race. As Bert put it, “We’re not changing the world, but maybe we’re helping people change theirs.”
Not Your Mama’s 5K
No timers. No pressure. Just beer, sweat, and celebration. Runners, walkers, and spectators alike were treated to medals, race shirts, cold plunges, live DJs, and a recovery zone stocked with Por Osos vodka.
From Couch to Course
Hundreds of participants credited the 5K with kickstarting their health journey—some losing over 100 lbs. Jelly Roll alone is down more than 140 lbs since 2024, proving this 5K is more than a gimmick.
Community Over Competition
With help from Spartan and Por Osos, the event emphasized inclusion and camaraderie over split times. As Bert said: “This is the most inclusive 5K in history—and the after-party is where we shine.”

Country Thunder Weekend
The 2 Bears 5K was perfectly timed alongside Country Thunder Florida, happening the same weekend at Raymond James Stadium. Runners stuck around for performances by Jelly Roll, Riley Green, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Ashley McBryde, and more—making Tampa the rowdiest place in America that weekend.
