Think the 2 Bears 5K sounds like a blast? It’s even better from the inside. Hosted by Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura as part of the Netflix Is a Joke Festival, we’re looking for a legendary team of volunteers to help us turn the Rose Bowl into the world’s biggest comedy-fueled finish line.
This isn't your average "handing out water" gig. We need high-energy people to help us manage the chaos, cheer on the "athletes," and keep the party moving.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Party Starters (Course Marshals): Pointing people in the right direction while providing maximum moral support.

- Hydration Heroes: Keeping the runners (and walkers... and crawlers) hydrated.
- Festival Support: Helping manage the after-party area to ensure the beers stay cold and the vibes stay high.

How will I receive my race discount after my volunteer shift?
You'll receive your race code immediately upon completing your shift!
How do I receive my free entry into the 2BEARS 5K festival?
Volunteers can check in at the designated volunteer tent after their shift to receive wristbands for festival entry. Specific instructions will be provided based on the timing of your shift.
Where will the 2BEARS 5K be held?
This event will be held at the Rose Bowl, 1001 Rose Bowl Dr, Pasadena, CA 91103.
Where do I check in to volunteer?
Volunteer check-in will occur at a designated tent near the registration area. Specific location details will be updated closer to the event date, based on the final event map.
Can I volunteer and run the 5K on the same day?
Generally, volunteers will not be able to volunteer AND run the 5K on Saturday. Limited opportunities may be available on race day; these will be at the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator.
However, if you volunteer for the Friday Set Up Shift, or the Packet Pick Up Shifts the week prior to the event, you'll be able to use that code to race on Saturday.
Do I have to volunteer for my entire shift?
Yes, to receive the full benefits and perks of volunteering, you must be present for the entire duration of your assigned shift.
Can I volunteer with my friend?
Yes! Friends can sign up for the same shift and request to be stationed near each other. While placement together cannot be guaranteed, efforts will be made to accommodate your group.
Will food be provided during my volunteer shift?
All volunteers will receive a lunch voucher, and snacks will be available at the volunteer tent. You are also encouraged to bring your own water bottle.
What should I wear to my volunteer shift?
Dress in layers suitable for all weather conditions, wear close-toed shoes for comfort and safety, and you will be provided a volunteer t-shirt upon arrival.
How old do I have to be to volunteer?
Volunteers must be 14 years or older. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Volunteers 18 and older can participate without a guardian.
Can I bring my dog with me to volunteer?
Only service dogs are permitted at the venue during the event.
Will there be volunteer parking available?
Parking details will be confirmed closer to the event date and emailed to all registered volunteers.
